Scarf Print Version 3.0

Okay. I seriously need better blog post titles next time. For now, let's just stick to this while I come up with something better. As you can see, I can't get enough of scarf prints in orange. Hahaha. Tell me about it. They're prolly the only ones I have in orange. I remembered when I was younger, I find these kind of prints in old people's clothes. Sorry for the term but it actually really reminds me of the oldies (now that's better). And the print is also pretty bold for me. So I did not dare to wear one until last year, when it boomed. It got viral and so, I got infected.

Dress: Thrifted, Necklace: Accessorize, and Sandals: Forever21

Wore this to one rainy Sunday, as seen in the pictures, that we took it indoors. I was with my sister that time and so we decided to have a mini photo shoot. lol. Whenever she is the one taking my outfit shots, I get a feedback that helps me a lot and I come up with better pictures. Unlike my brother who's always in a hurry. (I love you guys both! hahahah)

I actually have this dress with me for months now. (Problems of buying stuff when you still don't know when and where to use it.) And so, it had it's big break last Sunday because I wanted to use my new sandals badly. Hahhaha.

Necklace I got as a pasalubong from my big bro.

I also get to use the gem necklace I got from my Kuya last February pa. Hahahha. I wanted to pair it with something really elegant but I haven't had that moment yet. But thought that it might look well with this dress so I tried my luck. He actually bought it from Accessorize a known UK accessories brand. He got me this and my sister, a set pairs of earrings.

One thing why I fell in love with this dress is because of the bottom part. You guys know how fan I am of tutus and this dress looks like it has one, minus the tulle.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to leave comment(s) below. I really want to hear from you guys and don't forget to hype my look here ;)

J. Cuppacakes: Salted Caramel

I am no cupcake expert but ever since I have been baking I always wanted to be one. And so my love for making them grew. Through tasting different cupcakes from here and there my knowledge widen. My curiosity in the sweet, sweet world of cupcakery (if there's such a term) grew more and more. So, allow me to review a few that I was able to document. Because believe me, when you love cupcakes you'd want to taste every flavor possible within your reach.

My BU trip opened up that possibility for me. As my friends accompanied me at Megamall before I go home that Sunday I wasn't as determined to look for J. Cuppacakes stall since I forgot to take note where exactly was it located. But when we were on our way out to the taxi bay we passed by it. Can you believe it? I was totally meant to bring home cupcakes from them after all. Ever since I heard about them from Myx's Wer U At, I promised to myself that I'd visit one of their stores when I get the chance to. And there was it.

I got myself a box of six delicately beautiful looking cupcakes in different flavors. And they have an adorable box too.

J. Cuppacakes box of 6

L-R (up): Triple C, Bunny Carrot, and Red Velvet
L-R (down): Salted Caramel, S'mores and Green Tea

But lemme just put the spotlight on the Salted Caramel. As I have said J. Cuppacakes was featured in Wer U At and they have mentioned that one of their best sellers is the Salted Caramel. That's why I tried it first.

Spotlight on Salted Caramel

It look soo adorbs. The smooth top frosting looks too sweet but they're actually not. If I am not mistaken the frosting is actually made of cream cheese to my surprise. It also had this caramel flavored popcorn on top  of it which made it soo cute, I tell you. And adds a bit of texture when you have a bite of the cupcake.

You'll prolly wonder if the popcorn on top only resembles the caramel flavor. Na-uhh! This adorable thing is actually filled with caramel inside which gives that satisfying after shock when you have your first bite. You know that mouthwatering feeling? Kind of like that if you know what I mean.

The caramel filling surprise

And the cupcake itself is soo soft and creamy even if I just got it out of the fridge. I know. J.Cuppacakes' should be stored in a room temp. Putting them on the fridge messes up the texture but believe me when I tasted it nothing felt wrong. It was actually perfect for me and for my Aunt too. I learned baking from her and so I shared this cupcake to her as well. She even told me to have this as her pasalubong the next time I go to Mnl. Hahahah.

And there you have it. The mouthwatering, cream cheese topped with caramel popcorn filled with caramel surprise cupcake or for short le Salted Caramel from J. Cuppacakes. And I thought red velvet permanently replaced my love for chocolates. *sigh* If there's a cookie monster, I'd prolly be the cupcake monster. lol

That is all for this post. I hope I didn't make you guys really hungry with this. Please feel free to leave comment(s) below. I'd love to hear from everyone.

Bloggers United 5

No words can describe how happy I am with the turn out of the 5th installment of the Bloggers United Bazaar. That's how excited I was. This was my second time to attend the bazaar. My first time was just last year and I was all alone when I went there. huhuhu. But this year was different I found the perfect bazaar buddy, my friend Lovely. She loves reading blogs and passionate about fashion like I do. She also maintains a lookbook account here. Plus, I also got to hang out with some of our friends too, Sha, Debbie and Ate Kat.

Sha, Me, Lovely and Debs while waiting.

Debs, Sha and Me.

Enough about chitchat let's move on to the bazaar itself. We actually came in late at the event and it was  already packed with people.*no surprise there* Have you guys been to the SMX Convention Center? The line started in Function room 3 and goes all the way up to the opposite end that there's actually already a loop of line. If you know what I mean. And we patiently waited for almost an hour. *Yes. Besides from your shopping money and fashionista porma you need to bring your patience too.* Then, when we were already near the entrance I saw  this sign  for the other entrance for persons who are guest listed. Meaning I waited for almost an hour only to find out I don't need to fall in line because I won free passes from Vern and Verniece. Omgosh. How stupid of me? Anyway, next time I get free passes I'll ask first. Hahaha.

Look at the line.

And as I went inside, it still felt surreal. That I got to be on a guest list. Will try to join a giveaway again next BU. Before I turn on my shopping mode I tried to look for my fave bloggers' booth first. When I spotted there booths I now tried to find the bloggers in the flesh. And there goes the fan girl in me, approached them to ask for a picture with them. Also scored autographs to some bloggers included in my Candy Style Guide book. After an hour or so, I was on full shopping mode. I even left my bazaar buddies and roam around alone. Hahahha.

Look how packed the bazaar was.

Shoppers from left to right.

Spotted The Wicked Ying and Stephanie D. of Fashion Bandwagon
busy at their booth. Wasn't able to take a picture with them :(

During the program. A lot of things were given away.

Let me now bombard you guys with pictures with le famous bloggers. Up to now, I still can't believe I had a minute or two with them. <3

Kryz Uy of Thirstythought

My first picture with a blogger and this happens.

Alyssa Lapid of alyssalapid.com

Verniece and Vern Enciso of  V

The Enciso Sisters who I got my free passes with. They were really nice and even prettier in person. *I didn't even know that's possible in a good way* I love them more that they have made their blogs into one. They actually remind me of me and my sister except they both are bloggers and we aren't.

Cheyser Pedregosa of The Walking Recessionista

Lissa Kahayon of Scene Stealer

Dani Barreto of Style is Eternal

Ana Gonzales of The Fashionista Commuter

Anagon is also one of my fave accessory designer. I went gaga over her floral headphones. It is actually the first thing I bought at the event. To those who don't know, she's one of the persons behind the success of every Bloggers United Bazaar, alongside with blogger/celebrity stylist Aisa Ipac of Drowning Equilibriums. *That I also had a picture with :D

Laureen Uy of Break my Style

You'd prolly wonder why we're too close in the picture. I must say when she came in, everyone went crazy and hurried to her booth. At first, Lovely and I waited for the crowd to lessen but the longer we wait the bigger the crowd gets, so we tried our luck and Tada! a super close up picture with her.

This was when we were still waiting.

Exhibit A: a supporting picture of my testament above mentioned. Lol

Nicole Andersson of http://nicoleandersson.blogspot.com/

Aisa Ipac of Drowning Equilibriums

As I have mentioned, Aisa Ipac is also one of the persons responsible for the Bloggers United Bazaar to happen. And I really love her for that. She's like wonder woman whenever BU season arrives. One of the most approachable bloggers too.

Camille Co of Camille Tries to Blog

Exhibit A: While I was waiting near Camille Co's booth

Exhibit B: When she arrived I almost got crushed literally.

Got her autograph again. I also did last BU.

Ahhh. My Idol. Even when we waited for hours for her to arrive just to have this picture taken and my Candy Style Guide book signed, it was all worth it. One of the nicest and perkiest blogger I've met despite the crazy fans.

One thing I learned to every BU I attend to is how these bloggers took on a journey to be champions of fulfilled dreams. They have been set as good examples and ambassadors of change through their words (blogging). It doesn't matter that they focus on things like fashion which isn't that big of a deal to some but to inspire others through their work, like me, that everything is possible even with just little words they share they could touch every readers' lives. They hold on to things and share experiences that many also have experienced. Every single blogger I follow has served as an inspiration for me to share things through words in the world of blogging, I am very thankful for them. <3

So don't fret why these girls have crazy fans besides yourself, they deserve to have more than one.

And that concludes this BU experience. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to leave comment(s) below. I really want to hear from you guys and don't forget to hype my look here ;)

Checkmate

Even though I'm not that fond of playing chess please do allow me to use a term that I think best describes my skirt. Scored this gorge skirt from Pretty Witty Stuff, an online shop that you can find the trendiest pieces in season.

Yes. I am caught red handed being struck by the check sheath fever and as expected a lot in the bazaar was wearing this print as well. May it be a skirt like mine, dress, shorts or leggings they were all present and I joined the party. I paired it with a neon peplum top. You guys might have recognized it since it's the same as my pink peplum top here. Mom bought me and my sister these tops at GH tiangge. She couldn't decide what color to get so she ended up buying most of the available colors/design of it and then we (me and my sister) split it up. *Coolest Mom ever!!!

So this is what I wore at the 5th installment of the Bloggers United Bazaar. I made sure to wear something comfy but not sacrificing the style of course because of my experience last year when the place was a bit too small, it started to look like a sosyal version of divisoria.hahaha.

And since it was already as good as a fashion event for me, I decided to go for something noticeable. Would you believe The Vern Enciso complimented me with my outfit? *kilig* Though it would have look more put together if I've worn my Kryz cage shoes but I find it impossible to last all afternoon. Believe me, even wearing these sandals at the event I came home dragging myself to bed because my feet almost gave up on me.

Also, I used the blogger pin that I bought from Gelo's booth. It complimented the color of my skirt and accessories. And TWR, Cheyser Pedregosa also loved my necklace. *kilig* Hai. Overall this is the best BU bazaar I have attended. It was more organized and the best part was, I got in for free. Yes. I won free passes from the Enciso Sisters. Soo unexpected. I just knew about it when I was already Makati bound and checked their blog in the morning of the event.

Can't wait to share with you guys my BU5 experience in my next blog post. I will give you every single detail of it. ( Man that's going to be long!) ahaha.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to leave comment(s) below. I really want to hear from you guys and don't forget to hype my look here ;)

Sweet as Candy

Summer has already ended and I still have a lot of things that I haven't used yet and this top is one of them. With working on weekdays and making time for myself and my family on the weekends, it is quite hard to have beach trips/ outing squeezed in between. It's either we stay at home and hang out by the pool (inflatable) or we just simply go to the mall. And so, family gatherings come and go. And last week, we got to celebrate my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. Pretty awesome huh?

I wasn't able to attend their renewal of vows since I had work in the morning. So, I just came by dinner time, after work, and changed into this ensemble. If I were to attend in the morning I would still wear the same but instead of shorts and sandals I should have worn a lace skirt and wedges. You guys know how much I love wearing peplums. They come really in handy especially in times like you eat like there's no tomorrow. Lol. Since I wanted to look refreshing despite just coming from work, I just matched my top with neutral colors; white and cream.

Oh yes, I was going to give this post "Lipstick Stain" as the title but since it sounds pretty weird I opted to go for something simple like the first thing I could remember with the color of this top, is a candy. Thus, the title.

Now, I leave you guys with pictures with my relatives.

And since they were celebrating 60 years of love, love, love. I made 60 cupcakes frosted with butter cream. Also, put an icing flower beside the white chocolate button in the center, sprinkled with gold beads (they're edible). One day I'll share with you guys the recipes I researched online.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to leave comment(s) below. I really want to hear from you guys and don't forget to hype my look here ;)
